Francis B. Majorie has more than thirty-five years of experience serving as strategic counsel and trial counsel to principal investors, trustees, C-level managers, and others. Mr. Majorie has handled well over two and one-half billion dollars of complex, high-profile, and existential business disputes across the country. He has also advised on significant business transactions, represented clients as settlement counsel, managed outsourced litigation as an adjunct to clients' in-house legal teams, and served as a mediator.
In addition to acting as general counsel, he serves a distinguished clientele of CEOs, directors, senior executives, investors, and trustees across a range of industries — from Fortune 50® and Fortune 500® companies to public entities and high-net-worth individuals. Mr. Majorie has appeared before federal and state trial and appellate courts, bankruptcy courts, regulatory agencies, and media outlets nationwide. His experience spans a diverse array of matters, from high-profile cases such as airline deregulation and terrorism insurance to commercial real estate ventures and securities fraud litigation, and he represents both plaintiffs and defendants, with particular strength in breach-of-contract disputes and corporate control contests.
Prior to establishing The Majorie Firm, Mr. Majorie was an Income Partner at Bickel & Brewer and held roles at leading law firms including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates. He began his legal career as an associate at Hebb & Gitlin and at Bromberg Sunstein & McGregor, after earning his Juris Doctor (JD) from Boston University School of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude and served as Projects Editor of the Boston University Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Connecticut, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar.
Mr. Majorie is based in Irving, Texas, where he is active in his local community and volunteers regularly at his church.
